Schedule of Asia Cup:
On September 17 (Sunday), the continental cup's championship game will take played. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal will participate in a total of 13 ODI (One Day International) matches at the Asia Cup, according to the Asian Cricket Council. Pakistan will host four matches of the Asia Cup, while Sri Lanka, a former champion, will play home to nine matches of the main competition.
"The tournament will be contested using a hybrid hosting arrangement, with the first four matches taking place in Pakistan and the final nine matches taking place in Sri Lanka. Two groups will be used in the 2023 edition, with two teams from each group winning spots in the Super Four stage. The final match will be between the top two teams from the Super Four stage. Asian Cricket Council released a statement that read, "out of in the championship."
BCCI Objection:
After the BCCI raised its concerns about visiting Pakistan for the Asia Cup, the hybrid format was put into place. Former champions Pakistan had previously been given exclusive rights to host the Asian competition.
